In the interest of preventing food poisoning and protecting public safety, the law requires all food businesses to comply with minimum hygiene standards and produce food which is safe for human consumption. Whether a food stall, a food vehicle, or a food premises, all are required to be formally registered with the Shire.
In addition to routine inspections of food businesses, the Shire’s Environmental Health Officers also conduct routine sampling and analysis of foods produced within the Shire.
