Topic #1

A tour for new staff in Dardanup Shire to gain knowledge of area and facilities and regional areas, it appears some staff have little idea of zones.

Staff tried to contact resident without success.

Caravan Dump Point - New facility in Dardanup, could the facility have a Colourbond wall around it, the same colour as the adjoining toilet block.

Outcome

Will be investigated over the next few months in conjunction with planning department.

Dardanup Shire Office - some maintenance required - roof gutter cleaning, painting.

Outcome

Repairs and maintenance will be undertaken at the Dardanup Administration office over the next two months and will be completed before 30-06-2024.

Maintenance of verge, overgrown grass.

Outcome

The verge has been slashed down by Shire and is no longer a fire hazard, the landowner is responsible for future maintenance.

RV Stops - 3 nights stopover. 

Outcome

Providing RV/Caravan stopovers in the Ferguson Valley would have to be investigated in more detail and to engage with the community, ultimately it would require Council’s consideration.
