From postponed events and upcoming meetings to budget submissions, surveys, and ways to stay connected — there’s plenty happening in the Shire of Dardanup.

Our Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner caught up with SEN Spirit Radio for his fortnightly chat with Jarred O'Brien.

Here's what they covered:

Movies by Moonlight postponed

Unfortunately, the Summer Series event had to be postponed last Friday due to unsafe weather conditions. The Shire is working on rescheduling, with details to come soon. A big thank-you to the community for their patience as we prioritise public safety and explore backup plans for future events.

Annual Electors Meeting on 29 January

Shire residents are invited to the Annual Electors Meeting next Wednesday, 29 January, at 6pm following the 5pm Ordinary Council Meeting at the Eaton Admin Building. This is your chance to ask Council questions, submit ideas, and review the 2023/24 Annual Report, available now online or in person. Questions can be submitted by emailing records@dardanup.wa.gov.au or calling (08) 9724 0000 by 4pm on Tuesday, 28 January 2025. Questions that are not submitted in advance will be taken on notice and answered at the February Ordinary Council Meeting.

Community Budget Submissions

Submissions are open for residents and not-for-profits to share ideas for the 2025/26 budget. Send in your budget requests by Friday, 14 February in writing to Director Corporate and Governance, Shire of Dardanup, 1 Council Drive, Eaton or to our Dardanup Office, 3 Little Street.
Submissions can also be made in person or by emailing records@dardanup.wa.gov.au

Community Satisfaction Survey

Launching 10 February, the Community Satisfaction Survey is your chance to share feedback on the Shire’s performance and help shape future priorities. Look out for hard copies in your mailbox in early February or complete it online. The survey will be open for three weeks.
