Perhaps you saw our recent information on recycling bottle tops?
It turns out the advice we received about filling an empty milk bottle with your bottle tops and bread tags, then placing in your Yellow-Lidded Bin was INCORRECT.
We had hoped to find a solution that would help residents recycle those pesky bottle tops now that we are unable to receive them at our Community Recycling Stations.
Unfortunately, the only current (large-scale) option available for recycling bottle tops is your local Containers For Change drop-off point. They will accept plastic lids from their eligible containers but they must be removed from the containers.

Otherwise plastic bottle tops will need to go into your Red-Lidded General Waste Bin.
We appreciate that learning to Recycle Right can be confusing and we sincerely apologise for adding to the problem with this incorrect advice.
Please continue to place your empty, rinsed milk cartons into your Yellow-Lidded Recycling Bin with lids removed.
