Storm forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology and Department of Fire and Emergency Services:

There’s a storm a’coming!

A large cold front heading toward the South West is bringing the potential for some bad weather, particularly late Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

The team at the Bureau of Meterology (BOM) are watching closely and will issue Severe Weather Warnings if needed.

This front also brings the possibility of a storm surge. If this happens, we’re likely to get some minor flooding in low lying areas around rivers and estuaries.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has done some modelling identifying the areas that might flood (see below image).

But as always, keep an eye on EmergencyWA (www.emergency.wa.gov.au) for warnings and information.

Also visit the BOM website at: http://www.bom.gov.au/wa/warnings/
