Roadworks update for South Western Highway, Waterloo

Published on Thursday, 15 June 2023 at 10:16:26 AM

Night works are required to enable continued construction of the South Western Highway (north) interchange for the Bunbury Outer Ring Road. For safety reasons, these construction activities cannot occur in a live traffic situation.

From Friday 16 June – Monday 19 June inclusive, out of hours work will be carried out to install tee-roff bridge beams. The work will be undertaken from 6pm to 6am.

Southbound and northbound lanes on South Western Highway between Waterloo Road and Dowdells Line will be closed each evening for this 12-hour period.

Traffic controllers will enable local access for Picton, Waterloo and Burekup residents. All nearby residents have been contacted by phone and mail with advice of the works.

The map below details the extent of the planned road closure and associated detours.
