The Shire of Dardanup advises that the intersection at Recreation and Council Drives will be closed from Wednesday, 15 November until Friday, 17 November for essential electrical infrastructure works.

Shire of Dardanup CEO André Schönfeldt said the electrical works undertaken by the contractor are for the new Library, Administration, and Community Building, which is currently under construction.

Mr Schönfeldt thanked the public for its patience with the current road works along Council Drive and said every effort will be made to minimise disruptions to surrounding properties.

“To facilitate these critical upgrades, the road at the junction of Recreation Drive and Council Drive, adjacent to the carwash site, will be temporarily closed from 8am this Wednesday, 15 November until 5pm on Friday, November 17,” Mr Schönfeldt said.

“While the majority of Council Drive and Recreation Drive will remain open, a detour through the Eaton Fair car park will be provided for vehicles typically heading towards Recreation Drive. Pedestrian access will be maintained via Eaton Drive and Council Drive.

“To ensure smooth traffic flow and safety, traffic management control will be in place, and on-site personnel will be available to assist as needed.

“The Shire of Dardanup thanks everyone for their patience and understanding during this road works period.”
