The Shire of Dardanup invites residents to come together to reflect, respect, and celebrate by participating in one of the three local breakfast events on Australia Day, Friday, January 26.

The events, assisted by the Australian Government through a grant from the National Australia Day Council, are organised and run by passionate volunteers.

Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner said Australia Day is a chance for us all to reflect, respect, and celebrate being Australian.

“This day is an opportunity to reflect on our highs and lows, respect the stories of others, and celebrate our nation, its achievements, and most importantly, its people," Cr Gardiner said.

“The Shire is proud to support our local organisations and clubs that are hosting breakfast events in Dardanup, Burekup and Eaton. I’d like to thank them for their efforts in making these events happen.

“For a gold coin donation, members of our community can come along and start the day off well fed and entertained with plenty of activities for all ages.”
