Cartwheel into spring because two of our Eaton playgrounds due for replacement, are set to receive $230,000 in special treatment.

Lofthouse Park will receive new play equipment, with a water fountain for dogs and lighting already completed while Cadell Park in Millbridge is receiving new play equipment and shade sails.

You might recall our Pinterest-inspired digital community brainstorm last year when we asked you to contribute pictures and comments to our ‘Ideas Wall’ via our Connect Dardanup platform. 150 of you jumped in to have a look.

All of the information and feedback you provided was collected and analysed by our Landscape Design Officer who included the most popular ideas into a project scope and designs that were adopted by Council late last year.

Tenders for supply and installation of the upgrades were called in February, stock ordered and we are now ready for work to start.

Both playgrounds will be closed between 10 October and 11 November for the works to occur.
