The Shire of Dardanup will start work on a new production bore into the Yarragadee aquifer on Monday, aiming to provide higher quality of groundwater used to irrigate Eaton Oval and the Eaton Foreshore.

At its July 2024 meeting, the Council awarded the contract to Darling Downs Drilling to carry out the project. With all materials now secured, the contractor is scheduled to arrive on site on Monday, 4 November and drilling will start the following week on Monday, 11 November.

The works are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

While every effort will be made to minimise disruptions, some noise from the drilling equipment is anticipated.

The Shire thanks residents and visitors for their patience during this time.
