The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and/or experienced person to assist in delivering our Emergency Management planning and implementation objectives.  The successful candidate will be involved in emergency and disaster management, and be responsible for the provision of community education in these areas.

The purpose of this position is to:

  • Coordinate the management of the Shire’s Volunteer Bushfire Brigades.
  • Provide assistance in the planning and implementation of prevention, preparedness, response and recovery measures to ensure emergency and disaster management capability.
  • Enforce statutory requirements in accordance with Council policy, Acts, Regulations & Local Laws relating to Emergency Management.
  • Liaise with the public and public authorities and consult with other Shire staff on matters to maintain emergency services standards.

 

Work Type:                              Part-time 0.6FTE – 3 Days per Week

Remuneration:                       Level 4 between $31.9317 and $37.6691 per hour* dependent on skills and qualifications.
