The Shire of Dardanup’s facility offers a 24-7 gym, group fitness, a virtual cycle studio, children’s programs (including Creche and Vacation Care Holiday program), Café, as well as a Stadium featuring 3 multi-purpose courts used for sports hire, competitions, clubs, associations, elite level competition (Southwest Slammers and Souwest Jets) and events.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supervision, assistance and development of staff on shift
- Overseeing Centre operations including: stadium, gym, group fitness, customer service, café, memberships and children’s programs, to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Overseeing the Sporting programs, services and hire groups that operate within the Centre
- Undertaking the responsibilities of the emergency warden for the venue while on duty
- Undertake open and close activities and processes including routine set up and pack down and banking.
- Ensuring venue presentation is of the highest standard, actioning cleaning responsibilities as required.
- Providing information about service and program offering including classes and upcoming events.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records
- Resolving customer complaints and issues in a professional and efficient manner
To become our next Centre Supervisor, you will:
- Have experience in leading/supervising others, always leading by example.
- Understand the recreation industry, and the challenges frontline staff face in this
- Be a positive and driven personality to improve processes and innovate in an ever-changing recreation industry.
- Have a passion for personal and professional development of self and team
- Possess excellent customer service and people skills.
- Possess developed interpersonal and communication skills, especially conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Have strong computer skills, the ability to adapt to new technology and troubleshoot and train others on systems.
- Take pride in your presentation and the facility to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Be energetic and vibrant.
The minimum qualifications you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in leadership is a plus
- Current Working with Children
- Current First aid and CPR
- Police Clearance

Work Type: Casual, includes primarily weekends plus a weekday evening or two from 3.30/4.00pm - 10pm, and after hours for events (likely 10 hours per week).
Pay rate: $39.91- $45 per hour including 25% casual loading
